Understanding a logical structure of math
It goes without saying much beautiful and useful mathematics was developed early. Nobody wants to throw away the old in order to embrace the new very fast. Classical, traditional mathematics is still available for scientists but it is insufficient for lots of needs of modern technology. Generally, it should be noted that much of the new material is intrinsically easier than the traditional school classes. And children know it very well because they are living now and here and understand mathematics if they do not miss school. It is very important for a kid to attend classes every day especially when he is in elementary school. Why? Carl Friedrich Gaess, who pioneered in the theory of numbers, said, “ Mathematics is the Queen of the Sciences and Arithmetic is the Queen of Mathematics”. In other words, arithmetic is hard – it requires mathematical maturity and imagination. In elementary school children learn arithmetic facts and processes by rote not very fast. It takes years to repeat drills without emphasizing on the reasons behind the manipulations or on the structure of the system. Meaningless drill and rote learning sometimes do teach mechanically accurate computation. They also frequently result in a permanent deep distaste for arithmetic and all mathematics. The aim of the new program is to avoid this pitfall. Mathematics is a logical structure full of wonderful symbols. New generation is supposed to enjoy discovering them. The other aim of mathematics is to bring some current and recent developments to the average student. The reason is that a traditional high school course contains nothing that was not known at the time of Isaac Newton. New society does everything to involve new generation in the process of thinking and enriching minds with new ideas. Mathematics is a reliable friend in developing new technology and industry.
